Starcraft 2 was released yesterday, and I had to pick it up. I remember playing the original release a decade ago, and I was hooked. My sons recently started playing the original version, and were also eagerly awaiting the new release. So what do I think? It’s too early to tell, as I just started the campaign, and haven’t even tried multiplayer, but here’s my first impressions.
In Blizzard fashion, the introductory movies and cut scenes are top notch. Very highly detailed, and it ran smoothly on my year old pseudo gaming PC. It’s the same old mad clicking I remember, building up supplies, fortifying the base camp and recruiting troops, but to higher quality graphics and visual effects. I have finished only a handful of missions, but it’s already taken up too much of my free time.
